For more than three decades, the Barbara Bush Foundation’s Celebration of Reading events have brought together bestselling authors, entertainers, and special guests to raise support for nationwide literacy programs and increase awareness of our country’s literacy challenge.

In November 2024, we gathered with friends and supporters for a very special Celebration of Reading in New York City co-chaired by Lori Wachs and Ali Velshi. Featuring an outstanding lineup of authors and guests, the event also served as the launch of the Barbara Bush Centennial – a yearlong celebration of the 100th anniversary of our founder’s birth. It was a memorable and inspiring evening in support of literacy!
